Paul’s sewing machines made by the Willcox & Gibbs Sewing Machine Co.
This page is ordered by age, and only includes machines
made by the Willcox & Gibbs Sewing Machine Co..
A separate pictorial index includes
all the machines I've ever owned.
Willcox & Gibbs got their start when James
Gibbs invented his now widely used rotary hook for
forming a single-thread chain stitch. The classis
W&G chain stitcher was manufactured almost
unchanged from 1858 through 1940.

The main blog page is kept in the order
the machines joined my collection (and also has other sewing
machine related entries).
