A big downside of using a repurposed treadmill motor is that they
don't have a nice, standard, flat mounting plate. I think I was lucky
in that I didn't have to do anything very fancy to create a new mount.
The flat right-angle pieces are 6" corner braces from Home Depot. I
was able to drill exactly matching holes through them by drilling them
together using a drill press. The adjustment range for the shaft
height is almost 2".
